Biography
Marika Ricchi was born in Cesena in 1987 and she currently lives and works in Rimini and Reggio Emilia.
She has participated in various competitions, personal and collective exhibitions.
She obtained the Diploma of 1st level at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna with sculpture address, later she attended the School of Advanced Training for the Techniques of Artistic Processing of Metals at the TAM Center of Pietrarubbia and the sculpture course of the Specialist Biennium at the Academy of Fine Arts in Urbino, where he also worked as tutor for the sculpture section and achieved for the academic year 2014-2015 the II level diploma.
Winner of the 'Franco Zeffirelli' scholarship, she perfected her education at the Academy of Art at the Newington Cropsey Foundation in Hastings on Hudson (NY) and the Art Student 's League in New York.
In 2015 she made her debut with her first solo exhibition "Un Letto comodo", where she presented a selection of unpublished works in marble at the Studio Toselli in Bologna. The second solo show is in 2017 at the Rocca Rangoni in Spilamberto (Modena). A new research that sees marble as the essential hinge of highly suggestive conceptual works.
Numerous in these years are the participation in major group exhibitions such as for "Premio Arte 2017" to Palazzo Reale in Milan; Biennal of Soncino 2017, Nocivelli Prize 2017, Garten 2016, at Villa Rovere in Correggio (Reggio Emilia), the Combat Award in Livorno and the Catel prize in Frascati.
In 2015 she was invited to participate in the sculpture Biennial of Piazzola sul Brenta, (Vicenza). Also in 2015 she inaugurated "Nutrimentum" at the Garden of the Abundance of Urbino, exhibition revived within the Bourbon Fortress of Civitella del Tronto, where she presents an important installation on perfumes and essences and "Man and spirituality" in the picturesque setting of villa Necchi di Gambolò, (Pavia). In May of the same year he won the international sculpture prize Edgardo Mannucci in Arcevia, (Ancona).
The debut is in 2014 when she is invited to participate in the Biennale of creative art in the church of San Salvatore in Viterbo.
