In the picture Eugenio Monti and Renzo Alverà, Italian bobsledders, during the two-man bobsled event at the VII Olympic Winter Games in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy, in 1956.
They won the silver medal in the two-man bobsled event. Eugenio Monti went on to become one of the most successful bobsledders in history, winning six Olympic medals in total throughout his career and becoming known for his sportsmanship, for which he received the first-ever Pierre de Coubertin medal.
