In the picture American Andrea Mead-Lawrence during her giant slalom run. She reached the fourth place in this competition. The giant slalom was held on the piste "Canalone Tofana". The gold medal went to Rosa "Ossi" Reichert.
Andrea Mead Lawrence became known as an environmental activist, fighting against unchecked slopeside development in her native Vermont.
