Chapel (Glitter Studies) forms part of an ongoing series in which Endless distils his iconic “Chapel” motif into a tactile, process-driven exploration of image-making. Rooted in the visual language of collage and stencil, these works fuse the precision of hand-cut paper with the softened diffusion of sprayed paint creating a tension between control and spontaneity. Fragments of vintage Chanel advertising are embedded within the composition, their historic associations of luxury and desirability amplified by a shimmering glitter foreground. This surface opulence evokes the seductive power of branding, while simultaneously being disrupted by the insertion of ecclesiastical architectural forms arched silhouettes and chapel like cut outs that introduce a quieter, symbolic counterpoint. Here, Endless draws a deliberate parallel between consumerism and devotion. The polished language of fashion imagery is reframed within structures that recall places of worship, suggesting a contemporary shift in where value, belief, and aspiration are placed.
