Overview
The Heart of the Sea is an urban art installation by Polish artist Michał Jackowski, showcased from July 25th to September 2024 along the Promenade of Porto Rotondo Marina, Sardinia.
Organized by Circle Dynamic Luxury Magazine in collaboration with Gruppo Molinas, the Luigi Donà Dalle Rose family, the Consorzio di Porto Rotondo, the Yacht Club di Porto Rotondo, and the The Sporting Hotel, under the patronage of Assomarinas and the Hydrographic Institute of the Navy, with the Cris Contini Contemporary Gallery and curated by Pasquale Lettieri, this third-year exhibition features five monumental sculptures near the Yacht Club and The Sporting Hotel.
His works, inspired by the Mediterranean, are made of bronze and gold, patinated in green and blue, and coated in 24-carat gold.
To celebrate the 60th anniversary of Porto Rotondo, artist Michał Jackowski has interpreted the ancient Nautical Chart of Porto Rotondo from the early 1800s, creating an homage to this unique place: a drowwing in soft pastel drawing and 24k gilding on paper titeled L'Antico Occhio del Mare.
Jackowski personifies natural elements in his sculptures: "The blowing lips become the 'Breeze,' and scattered hair represents the winds 'Sirocco' and 'Tramontana.' The 'Eye of the Sea' watches over the city, while a closed eye symbolizes the 'Dream of the Sea.'"

Il Cuore del Mare è un'installazione di arte urbana dell'artista polacco Michał Jackowski, esposta dal 25 luglio al settembre 2024 lungo la Promenade del Marina di Porto Rotondo, in Sardegna.
Organizzata da Circle Dynamic Luxury Magazine in collaborazione con Gruppo Molinas, la famiglia Luigi Donà Dalle Rose, il Consorzio di Porto Rotondo, il Yacht Club di Porto Rotondo e il The Sporting Hotel, con il patrocinio di Assomarinas e dell'Istituto Idrografico della Marina, insieme alla Cris Contini Contemporary Gallery e curata da Pasquale Lettieri, questa terza edizione dell'esposizione presenta cinque sculture monumentali vicino al Yacht Club e al The Sporting Hotel.
Le opere di Jackowski, ispirate al Mediterraneo, sono realizzate in bronzo e oro, patinate in verde e blu, e rivestite in oro 24 carati.
Per celebrare il 60º anniversario di Porto Rotondo, l'artista Michał Jackowski ha interpretato l'antica Carta Nautica di Porto Rotondo dei primi anni 1800, creando un omaggio a questo luogo unico: un disegno in pastelli tenui e doratura in 24 carati su carta intitolato L'Antico Occhio del Mare.
Jackowski personifica elementi naturali nelle sue sculture: "Le labbra soffianti diventano la 'Brezza', e i capelli sparsi rappresentano i venti 'Scirocco' e 'Tramontana'. L''Occhio del Mare' sorveglia la città, mentre un occhio chiuso simboleggia il 'Sogno del Mare'."
