MARCO LODOLA: LODOLA IN MONTENEGRO

From 3 July the unmistakable light sculptures by Marco Lodola will illuminate the interior and exterior spaces of the Cris Contini Contemporary in Porto Montenegro: fifteen installations, three of which are monumental exteriors, will become the absolute protagonists of the panorama of the suggestive marina with its lights and its colours.

Founder of the 'New Futurism' movement, Marco Lodola is one of the most famous and influential artists of contemporary art; his works are preserved both in the most prestigious world museums and in the windows of fashion brands such as Dior.

Through his luminous sculptures, the artist becomes the spokesperson of a universal message, a 'social' art that vividly interprets our way of life and represents its positive aspects: not the grey of the concrete of the cities but the colours and the lights of everyday life, the rhythm and colour of contemporary life.

The exhibition is an opportunity to celebrate a myth of contemporary Pop Art: the icons of music, cinema and superheroes are revisited with an ironic iconography, they are no longer unattainable symbols but become architects of an urban cosmetics program, in which the art is within everyone's reach and concretely enters into everyday life.

Lenny Kravitz, Freddy Mercury, Betty Boom and other stars of the world of music television will light up the Boka Bay, home of the Gallery, with magic and joy, for a new season characterized by unbridled creative energy.

Dal 3 luglio le inconfondibili sculture di luce di Marco Lodola illumineranno gli spazi interni e gli esterni della Cris Contini Contemporary di Porto Montenegro: quindici installazioni, di cui tre esterne monumentali, diventeranno le protagoniste assolute del panorama della suggestiva marina con le sue luci ed i suoi colori.

Fondatore del movimento del ‘Nuovo Futurismo’, Marco Lodola è uno tra gli artisti più celebri e influenti dell’arte contemporanea; le sue opere sono conservate sia nei più prestigiosi musei mondiali che nelle vetrine di brand di moda come Dior.

Attraverso le sue sculture luminose, l’artista diventa il portavoce di un messaggio universale, un’arte ‘sociale’ che interpreta con vivacità il nostro modo di vivere e ne rappresenta gli aspetti positivi: non il grigio del cemento delle città ma i colori e le luci della quotidianità, il ritmo ed il colore della vita contemporanea.

La mostra è un’occasione per celebrare un mito della Pop Art contemporanea: le icone della musica, del cinema e i supereroi vengono rivisitati con un’iconografia ironica, non sono più simboli irraggiungibili ma diventano artefici di un programma di cosmesi urbana, in cui l’arte è alla portata di tutti ed entra concretamente nel quotidiano.

Lenny Kravitz, Freddy Mercury, Betty Boom e alter star del mondo della televisione della musica accenderanno di magia e di gioia la baia di Boka, sede della Galleria, per una nuova stagione caratterizzata da una sfrenata energia creativa.
