On Thursday 16th of May 2019 at 5:30PM the "Unfinished Symphony" exhibition by Cristiano Petrucci will illuminate the Vetrya Contemporary Campus.

The artist starts from carefully carved ping-pong balls to create futuristic three-dimensional structures whose shapes resembles cellular tissues, strange micro-organisms, plants, viruses, and perhaps even alien in nature;

at the same time these forms resist all attempts at classification, generating opposite feelings of curiosity and repulsion in the viewers.

The exhibition is conceived as a single large-scale artwork capable of involve the viewers all-around; every single compositional element is backlit by a LED that changes color to the rhythm of music.

The soundtrack is an unpublished composition created by Michele Papa and inspired by the Symphony n. 8 in S minor D 759, commonly called Unfinished, by Franz Schubert. The exhibition, whose title refers to the classical piece, share with the music the same sense of mystery, as if the work could continue or be interrupted at any time, remaining suspended.

The exhibition, on display until June 30th 2019, is curated by Davide Sarchioni and conceived by the Luca and Katia Tomassini Foundation, in collaboration with Vetrya, TerraMedia and LaDiArt by Isaco Praxoly
