This work distils Endless’s ongoing “Chapel” series into a more focused, object-driven composition, presenting the iconic bottle as both advertisement and artefact. Set against a bold yellow backdrop, the piece immediately commands attention, echoing the visual language of street posters and commercial signage, while simultaneously subverting it. At the centre, the “Chapel” bottle is rendered through layered stencil and spray techniques, combining sharp graphic precision with a raw, urban finish. Intricate black and white detailing within the bottle recalls religious engravings, reinforcing the artist’s recurring theme of consumerism as modern day worship. The bottle itself becomes a sacred vessel, positioned like a relic, inviting both admiration and critique. A striking gold glitter panel forms the label, elevating the work with a sense of opulence and desirability. This shimmering surface contrasts with the distressed textures surrounding it-spray paint, rough edges, and visible layering-highlighting the tension between luxury and authenticity. It’s a deliberate clash: polished branding versus the gritty reality of the street. The overall aesthetic is both seductive and abrasive, gloss and grit, gold and spray, precision and imperfection. In this balance, Endless captures the essence of contemporary London: a city where luxury and street culture coexist, collide, and continually redefine one another.
