This composition presents a sharp, fragmented reimagining of the British Vogue cover, both homage and critique. A model’s face, partially obscured, evokes the idealised poise of Renaissance art, yet here that perfection is disrupted. Notably, the artist’s own eye and hand are embedded within the image, blurring authorship and subject, and reinforcing the tension between constructed beauty and personal identity. Endless layers classical references, echoing his own art which can be found in the Uffizi Gallery, with raw, contemporary interventions. The corrupted title “VAGE” fractures the authority of fashion media, critiquing the shifting and artificial standards imposed through advertising, particularly within the visual culture of London. The inclusion of the Endless iconic “crotch grab” motif further disrupts the polished façade, injecting provocation into the composition. Finished with a layered resin gloss, the surface mimics the sheen of a magazine page, seductive, reflective, and ultimately deceptive.
