In this compelling mixed media composition, Endless continues his exploration of contemporary identity through a visceral fusion of street culture and high fashion imagery. The central portrait constructed from fragments of fashion advertisements forms a fractured yet seductive façade, embedding the aspirational language of consumerism directly into the subject’s skin. The artist inserts his own eye into the composition, creating a moment of arresting tension as his gaze meets the viewer’s, asserting a personal lens through which the chaos of modern life is both observed and challenged. Encircling the figure, a halo of discarded nitrous oxide canisters, commonly known as laughing gas, transforms symbols of fleeting euphoria into a stark commentary on urban addiction, their presence echoing the detritus found scattered across the streets of London. Alongside this, the inclusion of phone box calling cards, Endless considers these the original form of visual street advertising, introduces a raw archive of human desire and transactional intimacy, grounding the work in the overlooked textures of city life. Through layered spray paint, collage, and gestural mark making, Endless juxtaposes beauty with decay, seduction with consequence, crafting a contemporary icon where the sacred is replaced by the realities of excess, and where the boundaries between public spectacle and private vice dissolve.
