For this piece, Endless has been inspired by 17th and 18th Century art, where Cherubs are often depicted as a symbol of peace, playfulness and innocence and often found in places of worship. Endless’ Cherub carries his iconic Chapel bottle which is his take on the classic Chanel perfume, commenting on the shift in modern worship - the shops are our chapels, magazines are our bibles and celebrities are our new God’s of whom we worship. This specific painting has been created from a photo of Endless’ recent street art in East London, bringing his art from the street to canvas form. This artwork combines the use of hand-cut stencils with spray paint and free hand painting.
