Tombolini also expresses his thoughts on the Covid19 virus and the East where the pandemic began; the man is described as a laboratory guinea pig destined to be a tester for the vaccine (La Cavia) and commanded from above (The vaccinated) without decision-making power.

Michele Tombolini, however, always offers a way out, a positive view on things, whether it be a blue sky in the background, a play of colours or beautiful butterfly wings.
“Both children and immigrants are depicted with large butterfly wings, ready to take flight towards freedom, an opening towards hope and a better future […] Luckily Tombolini is also a dreamer and there is always optimism to illuminate his works that like precious flowers bloom with beauty.”

E Tombolini esprime il suo pensiero anche sul virus Covid19 e sull'Oriente dove è iniziata la pandemia; l'uomo viene descritto come una cavia da laboratorio destinata a fare da tester al vaccino (La Cavia) e comandata dall'alto (The Vaccinated) senza potere decisionale.
“Ecco allora l'uomo pecora (The Vaccinated) per l'agognata immunità di gregge o perché tutto il mondo si è lasciato comandare dall'alto senza nulla poter fare”.
Michele Tombolini, però, offre sempre una via d'uscita, una visione positiva delle cose, che si tratti di un cielo azzurro sullo sfondo, di un gioco di colori o di bellissime ali di farfalla.
“Sia i bimbi, sia gli immigrati sono raffigurati con ampie ali di farfalla, pronte a spiccare il volo verso la libertà, un'apertura verso la speranza e un futuro migliore. […] Per fortuna Tombolini è anche un sognatore e resta sempre l'ottimismo a illuminare le sue opere che come fiori preziosi sbocciano di bellezza.”
