Starting from 26 May 2023, at the Wall Space Gallery in Foksal street 15, Warsaw, the exhibition of the talented sculptor of the new generation Michał Jackowski will be inaugurated. The exhibition, entitled "Antique Games", has been organized in partnership with Cris Contini Contemporary and, in a conscious and innovative way, refers to the classical traditions of European culture and, at the same time, boldly comments contemporary culture. The show is based on two pillars: ideological-conceptual and aesthetic-formal, which together create a cohesive and unique cultural and artistic offer. The ideological-conceptual part of the exhibition unites the ancient with the contemporary. Concepts, ideas and themes from the tradition of ancient Greco-Roman art and from Italian art of the Renaissance period are linked by the artist to reflections on the consumer society. On the other hand, the aesthetic-formal dimension of the presentation refers to the known forms of antiquity, to the ways of sculptural representation, to the iconographic models and to the aesthetics that the artist has combined with the aesthetics of pop-art and the elements of popular culture. At the heart of his compositions are people, their emotional state and human relationships. Using a timeless and classic aesthetic, Jackowski asks us questions we all have to grapple with. He combines ancient elements with those derived from pop culture to invite viewers to reflect on themselves, on their relationship with the past and on being here and now.
A partire dal 26 maggio 2023, presso la Wall Space Gallery in via Foksal 15, Varsavia, verrà inaugurata la mostra del talentuoso scultore della nuova generazione Michał Jackowski. L'esposizione, intitolata "Antique Games", è stata organizzata in partnership con Cris Contini Contemporary e, in modo consapevole e innovativo, si rifà alle tradizioni classiche della cultura europea e, allo stesso tempo, commenta audacemente la cultura contemporanea. La mostra si basa su due pilastri: ideologico-concettuale ed estetico-formale, che insieme creano un'offerta culturale e artistica coesa e unica. La parte ideologico-concettuale della mostra unisce l'antico alla contemporaneità. Concetti, idee e temi provenienti dalla tradizione dell'arte greco-romana dell'antichità e dall'arte italiana del periodo rinascimentale vengono collegati dall'artista alla riflessione sulla società dei consumi. D'altra parte, la dimensione estetico-formale della presentazione fa riferimento alle forme conosciute dell'antichità, ai modi di rappresentazione scultorea, ai modelli iconografici e alle estetiche che l'artista ha unito all'estetica del pop-art e agli elementi della cultura popolare. Al centro delle sue composizioni ci sono le persone, il loro stato emotivo e le relazioni umane. Utilizzando un'estetica senza tempo e classica, Jackowski ci pone domande con cui tutti dobbiamo confrontarci. Unisce elementi antichi a quelli derivati dalla cultura pop per invitare gli spettatori a riflettere su se stessi, sul rapporto con il passato e sull'essere qui e ora.
