The project entitled FRAMMENTI DI VITA (FRAMES OF LIFE) embodies the true meaning of the work of Marika Ricchi, an artist who has always been attentive to issues related to women.
The artist focuses her artistic journey on the study of the body, with particular attention to anatomical fragments. Fragmentariness that is found more and more in these times, no less in the conception of the contemporary family. The latter has elaborated in recent decades a very different idea than the past one, numerous and obligatorily united, for better or worse. The feet, as an anatomical fragment, represent a path, a history, an experience more or less studded with obstacles and difficulties but also with moments of joy and pleasant memories to live and build together. A path in which intentions and dreams are not always realized.
It is precisely from the fragment that is often born the will and desire to bring the pieces together, put them back together to write a new story and a new life. The use of materials such as marble or ceramics make this value, that of family, a precious and enduring element for life, an element sculpted over time and shaped by experiences and moments of sharing. A number of works titled "The Eyes of Venus" will also be on display. They are hand-crafted chisel-worked crisscrosses and braids of different marbles that stand for different cultures and female personalities, sparing no references to suffering, violence.
