In Echo Spheres, Jeff Robb transforms painted light into hovering architecture. Beginning with gradients applied to a spinning canvas, each work captures the physics of motion—pigment pulled outward by centrifugal force, forming luminous halos. These analogue origins are then digitally orchestrated, layered and sculpted through CGI into volumetric forms that appear to float in deep space. Realised as lenticular prints, the spheres shift as the viewer moves, their glowing cores expanding and contracting like living entities. Robb fuses painting, photography and technology to create immersive 3D portals—objects that feel less like images and more like presences suspended in air.
