The Hic Sunt Leones sculpture is a praise to the dignity. To the respect that each individual, aware of his own value, must feel towards himself and translate into behavior. To have courage in his thoughts and actions, and to fill life with meaning. Not pride, empty in its ostentatious appearance and hovering over the opinion of others. But that feeling of fullness and power that arises from the opinion we have of ourselves. Substance that draws its power in the depth of our values and our existence. A wish for courage and pride that intertwine with the force expressed by the animal in nature. Now that cunning often seems to replace the values of coherence and dignity on several levels, it is a reflection on the power of those who believe in their dreams and have the courage to pursue them.
