Copyright The Artist
Jackowski represents the head of Apollo and three comic strips in which the ideal image of the same is duplicated; with each image, his face is lost, melts like wax, erasing his personality and soul. The artist plays on the theme of personal perception, if the man looks in the mirror aware of himself or if he seeks confirmation in other people, if he creates an illusory image of himself and focuses only on his own opinions, without considering the thoughts of others.
The deformed image like wax melted by the flame represents the distorted vision of ourselves.
