The artist deals with the theme of inner beauty, the search for the soul that hides behind a beautiful facade. Research can be risky or grand, lead to success or disintegration; through the resolution of complicated puzzles and a sometimes painful process, the search for the soul can lead to emptiness or total beauty, but seeking the truth is always the right choice. The artist asks the viewer whether external beauty is a guarantee of inner beauty, if we go deeper and try to discover the soul of people, revealing the golden matrix beneath the beautiful classic face of Aphrodite or Narcissus.
Is all that glitters gold? This is the recurring question.
The sculpture is made up of separate stone blocks, so they can be arranged and moved at will, but not every combination gives stability to the work.
