His research explores the mark understood as a trace—persistent or fleeting—of human presence and memory, through the processes of linguistic layering and emergence. This is evident in his Maps, created with refined gold leaf, adhered letters and overlapping fields of colour. In a certain sense, these works resonate with the restless, nomadic artistic explorations of Alighiero Boetti and with the wandering photographic investigations of Luigi Ghirri.
