The artist reflects here on the fact that we often have a distorted idea of other people, which does not correspond to reality. We get used to dampening the uncomfortable features, some shortcomings, imperfections, outlining an illusory image of what is necessary and favorable to us. Just like the Greek statues that we admire in museums, considering them a complete and perfect composition, they actually represented a specific figure, a man who had his defects and virtues, a face, thoughts and dreams. Man often tends to take shortcuts, not accepting people in their genuineness and truth, but reducing them to perfect busts without weaknesses.
The work "Why She" deals with the same theme from a male point of view, and it is inspired by the lyrics of the Beatles song "Yesterday": "Why does she have to go, I don't know, she didn't say ...", imagining that the answer is found in the man's vision of the woman. The artist asks himself how a woman is perceived by a man, if he dwells on the physical aspect or if he goes further, dwelling on her personality and spirituality.
