This work represents two immigrants with the band-aid on their mouths, a recurring symbol in Tombolini’s artistic language as an element of censorship and impossibility to express and reclaim their rights. The Donuts is here a sweet-lifesaver, with a strong recall to the landings of Lampedusa and the desperate and hungry immigrants. We can find here the meaning of the Donuts bite.
